Each piece includes longer guard hairs plus plenty of underfur, so you can pull the underfur for dubbing on salmon fly bodies and a wide range of nymphs, then select the guard hairs for tailing and winging on streamers, salmon flies, and dry flies. Fine tips and low flare help the hair tie in clean, which pays off on classic mayfly patterns like the Hendrickson family where a neat silhouette matters. Each patch measures about 23 sq. in., giving you enough material to mix dubbing blends and still have straight guard hairs ready for your next set of wings. Versatile fox hair patch with long guard hairs and abundant underfur Underfur works great for dubbing salmon fly bodies and many nymph patterns Guard hairs make excellent tailing and winging material for streamers, salmon flies, and dry flies Fine tips with minimal flare, approx. 23 sq. in. per piece Please note: This is a natural product so there is some minor variation in color from piece to piece.
