Black Bear

Black bear fur is used for making wings, tails, collars, and bodies on various flies. Black bear hair is used for everything from salmon/steelhead flies, trout nymphs, and large predator flies. Its dark color, stiff yet flexible fibers, and movement make black bear hair a very versatile material. This is a must for traditional steelhead and Atlantic salmon tyers.
