Pioneered by steelhead guide and fly rod inventor Jeff Blood, this pattern has become a trusted choice on steelhead tributaries throughout the Great Lakes Region because it matches the simple profile fish expect to see during spawning periods. Fish it weighted or unweighted on a dead drift through runs, seams, and tailouts, especially in fall and early winter when steelhead key on loose eggs and when spawning brown trout and brook trout have other fish feeding behind them. Each fly is tied on a Daiichi hook with a straight eye, 2X strong wire, and 5X short shank, giving anglers a compact egg presentation in several fish-catching sizes and colors. Proven egg pattern pioneered by Jeff Blood for Great Lakes steelhead tributaries Mimics drifting eggs that steelhead, salmon, and trout feed on opportunistically Especially effective in fall and early winter around steelhead and spawning browns and brook trout Tied on Daiichi hooks with a straight eye, 2X strong wire, and 5X short shank Quantity per pack: 2 Prop 65 Warning SEE LESS Video
