SCI FLIES Foam Only Beetles Barbless

The SCI FLIES Foam Only Beetle Barbless is a highly effective terrestrial fly pattern designed to imitate beetles and other land-based insects that fall onto the water. Built around a durable, high-floating foam body and a premium Grip 14723BL barbless hook, this fly is an excellent choice for anglers targeting trout and other surface-feeding freshwater species.

The dense, closed-cell foam construction provides excellent buoyancy, helping the beetle remain visible and ride high on the surface even when fishing in choppy or disturbed water. Its realistic terrestrial profile creates a strong surface silhouette, making it an effective pattern when fish are feeding on insects along the banks or surface.

Tied on a competition-grade barbless hook, the Foam Only Beetle is particularly well suited to anglers fishing waters where barbless hooks are required or preferred. The barbless design also makes hook removal quicker and easier, helping to minimise handling time when releasing fish.

The Foam Only Beetle is available in a selection of sizes and colour variations, making it a versatile addition to any dry-fly or terrestrial fly box.
